The elements turned against me. So I killed them.
…let me elaborate before you pick your diety and begin praying for the end times.
I was hanging around Amberglow outpost, collecting spirit wisps for someone to help cleanse the Shrines. Seems they’ve been experiencing a bit of a poltergeist problem. Some things just don’t know when to move on. So I’m collecting wisps, and take them back to the fox that requested the help. The Shrines are cleansed, for now. It’s time for a drink, right?
Wrong.
Another Raki approached me, and mentioned my totem; turns out she knew about my tendency towards nature. After exchanging pleasantries, Sleeka asked if I’d be interested helping her and two other friends with a problem. The Raki had lost control of a special place. Minions of each of the elements were attacking randomly, and had holed up inside. This I couldn’t have, because we all depend on the elements for survival, ya know?
We headed there almost immediately (I had to pee first), and along we went. The shrine was a beautiful place. Purple colored trees, water flowing, small meditation gardens, such a serene place had turned to a war zone. The entry way was easy enough to dispatch, and occassionally I healed or held them in place as my small group removed their ability to live. Then we got to the dominatrix. She was a mean one, utilizing water to her advantage. Once we realized what we were up against, we formulated our plans and proceeded to clean out the floating islands. We noticed, however, that after removing the head of this abomination, a faint orb was left behind. Each of them did.
As we had finished, we walked past a larger gate, that had each of the elements listed on it. Sleeka had an idea and placed the orbs together in a small altar, and LO! We were taken to a larger temple. A neat magic fountain stood in the middle. Sparkly air seemed to flow upwards through a shaft, and my hand revealed it was warm, and being me, I went ahead and jumped in to the stream. It lifted me up and soon I was soaring out of the chimney. The others followed and we were met with a surprise.
An angry …thing… half man, half something else. It was an hard fight nearly killing Sleeka. I was lucky to get some spells off in time to keep her (she is a paladin) alive.
We finished the fight, but we were exhausted. Luckily, the infestation tapered out after that spirit was removed. The Raki thanked us.
Then I finished my drink at the bar.
