I have decided I will venture into Vanguard: Sage of Heroes. Why? Interest question. Wait.. that was “WHY?!!?!” Still, because I’m seeking an mmorpg that captures my imagination again. WoW – did it, done it, and all I got was a lousy t-shirt. Actually, the t-shirt was neat, as it signified an accomplishment on behalf of my raiding network. Yeah, we made shirts. Big whoop – wanna fight about it?
2000 is when I started playing Everquest. It was the mac-daddy of MMO’s at the time, and I loved it. Since then, I’ve played many different online games, including EQ2, City of Heroes/Villains, StarWars Galaxies, World of Warcraft, GuildWars, expansions of these games, and a few I’m sure I’m forgetting. Each on ehas its plus and minuses, but nothing has yet to really pull me in like EQ did. Vanguard is from the same people, pretty much, pulling on positives (and I’m sure, negatives) from several other games. It’ll be interesting to see how I do.
This won’t be a blog dedicated to analyzing mechanics or play style or even colorschemes; instead, I will be writing blogs from the view point of my character. Think of it as an online diary for whatever character I come up with. We’ll watch as they develop from “birth” to wherever my interest wains.
I think perhaps I’ll be a female druid. Before you ask, it’s because female characters are more fun to look at than male characters. I have played some Male characters, notably a warrior type in Mythos, which is currently in Beta, but I’m not allowed to talk about that. ..hold on, someone’s at the door..
Back – and with one less finger. Turns out that Mythos EULA wasn’t kidding.
